Re: Data patches >FREE !

I'm always interested in getting something for free (or a lower cost)
instead of paying , but several points should be made regarding the new
Omega data site as I understand them from the Ft Lauderdale demo that Omega
gave last weekend.

1. The 2000i server stores data in the same format no matter which vendor
broadcast (cable, satallite; not internet) the data.

2. Omega is going to have several intra-day collection sites across the
country for redundent collection and is going to remove bad ticks before
making it available for downloading.

3. For us non-futures traders, the Omega site includes stocks and stock
options.

4. The cost includes EOD data. If you currently download from Dial Data or
Telescan, that cost can be eliminated.

Will the above prove to be true? Based on Omegas past, who knows! At least
the service will be free for a couple of months so that we can see for
ourselves.
