Sheriff's announcement: Responding to SPAM

I am amazed at how many people respond to SPAM and then Quote the entire
SPAM message in their reply. You SPAM the list all over again. The
Sheriff is on digest I can tell you that there are three or four digests
/day because people quote the entire message they are responding to. I
have seen this most recently and I suspect it is all the newbies on the net
and not just the Omega list. At LEAST ONE HALF of the trash that pervades
the list would be eliminated if the quoted original messages were ALWAYS
LESS than the new message.

I have been the sheriff for... well several years... and this is truly a
low. (Does anyone have the original J. Cox email on this?)

Folks, get a grip! Is your trading so bad that all you can do is complain
about the list? Or is your trigger finger frozen and you can't pull the
trigger (pick up the phone and place the order)?

Whatever the take on Bill and his various personalities it is truly a sad
take. If you flame the guy, don't quote his message. If you haven't got
the stomach for the flames against spammers then maybe you should move on
to the next saloon.

Before you leave the saloon, beware! Some of the people you chastise for
being rude have been around lot longer than you have and know what they are
talking about. Maybe they lack the grace that you are accustomed to but
perhaps they got that way by being taken advantage of by the liars and
cheats of this industry These liars and cheats try to sell you ways on
how to make money without working at it. The rage of those who flame the
SPAMMERS is in part fueled by their distaste for this bunch and their
frustrations with newbies who spend $15,000 for a system that was stolen
from someone else and lose $25,000 more in the markets trying to follow it.
IT HAPPENS TIME AND TIME AGAIN.
