The brokerage firms that lent the money originally are putting up the
additional funds needed to avoid the margin call due today. For the
additional funds they are getting 90% ownership in the fund. Boy, did the
original investors get screwed or what.
This fund was ran by some very astute individuals (I guess). From what I
understand there was an ex-Fed governor on board also.
