My understanding is that the only involvement of the Fed was advisory
and hosting the meeting. The Fed put in exactly $0 outside of that.
I could be wrong about that, but that was my read.
BTW, anybody catch Greenspan's comments on the farm "crisis". He
basically said he was pro- Freedom to Farm, and that it's time the
farmers got with free markets and assume risk like everyone else.
Farm supports blow away the $90 billion LTC threw away.
