i don't like the clinton's; never have and never will.  but, and this
is a big "but," as much as i detest them, i detest al bore more.  and
so does a rep congress, since they're looking toward 2000 prez
elections.

i think rep's in congress will rattle the impeachment sabre toward the
nov elections, and then back off once they (reps) have a comfortable
majority again in both houses.  a weak prez and strong rep congress
may not be such a bad thing economically.  maybe they'll even
straighten out the social security mess and give clinton his "legacy"
that he craves so much.

funny thing is, the dem's are more inclined to impeach clinton and
work against him than the rep's.  like you said, it's all about "self."
