Well, as I said in an earlier post, you do have your moments. Now, explain to
me
please whether this will affect the automatic creation of contracts feature
and
if so, how to work around that? I'd wait for Dennis to post it officially
here,
but your solution was correct on the last point.

The workaround proposed (unchecking the morning update) will of course affect
the automatic creation of contracts feature because it's a part of the morning
process.
Means that you need to create these contracts BEFORE unchecking the morning
update for the last time (you will be able to check it again one the TS4 patch
will be available.

So, what you can do is :

1)From the portfolio, add new contracts for ALL futures that are involved in
the Y2000 datacollectionand put the date in advance to the maximum available.
Add all of these contracts (you will get a message telleing that sme f them
were already in the Portfolio).

2)Uncheck the automatic morning update and never checkmark it again, until the
TS4 patch availability.

If you are not able to add contracts too far in advance, you can fool
TradeStation like this:

a) Close TS.
b) Change Windows date to 991230
c)Run the offline server.
d)Do what I explained above (1).
e)Close TS again
f)Change windows date back to to today's date.
g)Run TS as usual. The moning update stays of course unchecked and will always
stay so.

You should have been able to enter contracts until 2006, I guess.

Ah, I have found a proper use of your old bags:
After ironing, you should use them to print these workaround explanations .
