Thanks to all the folks on the list who responded humorously to the DHMO post I
put out yesterday. Shame on all who privately e-mailed me spanking me for
off-topic posts, or for proposing such a ludicrous theory. With all the
datafeed frustration going around, I thought the list could use a little
chuckle.
Just to clear things up:
1) My post was just a joke. If you think about the structure of
DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE molecule (and you don't have to be a chemist, just look at
theprefixes) it is H2O, just plain old water!
2) I have no idea what may have disrupted G4 satellite. I don't care, there's
nothing I can do about it anyway.
3) The post was taken in part from a project a highschool freshman did to prove
how junk science ignites the masses. He came up with a scary name for this
chemical and pointedout some of its dangers. He then asked 50 people if it
should be banned. 43 said yes, 6 said they didn't know, and only 1 had the
common sense to see through the charade and call it water. I see the same kind
of responses to this post. Some people got a good "April Fool's" laugh, some
took it way too seriously in the regard that it may have caused the BMI outage
from G4.
For those who didn't see the original post, e-mail me and I'll gladly send it
to you to purloin on your unsuspecting friends.
Didn't know I'd get in some peoples' craw the way I did.
Good trading,
