Here's the insightful response from Miles Dunbar. Overall I must say that
Omega tech support was extremely responsive to this rather bone-headed
problem. So were several members of the list. Thanks to all! Here it is:

Actually I think that your server did not get the new days date. The
computer date is only used for the offline server. Check the date in the
server it is not the correct date shut down TS and server then reboot your
datafeeds box. This will force the new date and since you have already
lost the data for today and yesterday no big loss. Now you ask how does
this happen. Well the server only checks the date of the data feed at
midnight, yes only once a day. If there was a problem with the feed at
that time and no new date was found it just keeps the current one. I
remember this used to happen alot when people were on cable feeds and their
local cable service would insert commercials that did not contain the side
band of data. And if you ever watch TV around midnight the commercials are
usually longer and more local than national. Anyway start your data feed
over and it should work. Probalby not caused by the upgrade but just a
coincidence.

Hi Miles,
I sent the following memo with more detail on this problem to Dennis
Boyle.. Could you please take a second look? I changed the bar spacing from
6 to 1, but unfortunately it doesn't seem related...

Thanks very much!

Here's the situation:

I bought a new computer this weekend.. Copied all the Omega directories
from my old computer, then Installed TS build 18 and then upgraded to build
21 from the web site.

Seemed to work fine on Monday (5/11), but today (5/12) it's really acting
strange. With my 5 minute charts all of today's data so far is compressed
into one bar at the right-hand edge of the chart, stuffed on to the end of
yesterday's data. According to the chart, today hasn't started yet.

Editing the tick file from the server, it says the last available date is
5/11 (yesterday). But this morning's ticks are showing up there, under
yesterday's data. Near the end of the file the time stamp rolls over, from
16:25 to 9:30 (today's ticks)

What could possibly be going on here???
The computer clock and date ARE SET CORRECTLY. Could this somehow depend on
the symbol universe settings? I'm using the default settings for the most
part, except I have the closing times set 5 minutes early in order to
generate usable Market-On-Close orders. This all worked fine on my other
computer where I had upgraded to build 20, not build 21 as in the present
case.

HELP!!
And best regards
Phil Lane
