probs with disks > 8G, Win95, and T/S?

I recently installed an 8.6 Gigabyte (narrow SCSCI) disk (Micropolis)
into my Win95 OSR2 system. The disk is formatted as a single large
partition, using a format known as FAT32X (extended FAT32). This
is necessary, because generally the limit on FAT32 formatted disks
is 8G. I've also upgraded my computer's BIOS, my SCSI controller
firmware, and various drivers to accommodate the 8.6G drive. The
drive checks out, and I can run various other programs, including
a CDROM writer on that disk (drive D:).

However, when I run the Omega (TS 4, build 19) Tradestation Downloader
over the internet to Dial/Data, the program runs fine for a while,
but then starts getting "write errors" on the disk. Previously,
the downloader operated fine (well, it didn't produce write errors)
on a smaller (IBM 4G - two 2G partitions) SCSI disk.

Has anyone tried running the downloader on a large SCSI disk that is
formatted to have a partition of greater than 8G, using Win95 OSR2
and FAT32X? Can you think of anything that the downloader does
(including direct disk access) that might not work on this large
drive? Is there a system log file written by Win95 that will tell
me the sector number (or filename, and block) that Win95 tried to
reference when the write error was detected?

thanks.
