Sometimes the date for the first trade of a new day shows the previous
day's date in the System Report. This has happened to me in December 1997.
I sent the following problem description to Omega Technical Support but
apparently they could not replicate the problem since I never got an answer
from them:
"I run 3 different systems concurrently on 3 separate 3 minute charts. I
frequently optimize input variables and change the price data as to
contract and time period. I usually do this with one system at a time. I
notice that the system report gives correct information except for the date
when it is reporting successive trading days. The only bothersome point
occurs when TradeStation closes out an open position before the close of
the day market. For example if it has listed a trade on 12/18 and the next
trade is reported as 12/17 then the second trade sometimes is closed out by
TradeStation at a time before the close of the day market. All my contracts
are either SP7Z or SP8H."
I experienced this problem infrequently with TradeStation 4.0, Build 19.6,
Version 4.04. I had forgot about it until I saw a post today from Bob
Brickey entitled "A Serious Problem in TS 3.51". He says in his description
of the TS 3.51 that ("Trading signals that did not come during real-time
trading on Friday sometimes mysteriously appeared Monday morning on Friday
chart bars. Trading indicators also sometimes have been different on
Mondays than during real-time trading the previous week.").
Have any TS 4 users experienced a problem like this?
