I, too, just joined this mailing list, apparently in the middle of a
continuing dispute involving somebody named Mark Brown. The content
improved quickly, though. After having moderated a mailing list some time
ago, I can say most are like this: relatively unconstrained expression of
various, sometimes irrelevant, ideas. Get used to it. At least you don't
get the constant SPAM on Usenet.

I am also on the Metastock list, and there's one big difference: Equis, the
owner of Metastock, hosts that list, so you're unlikely to get the
(relatively) complete freedom of expression you get here. Don't be fooled,
however, there's quite a bit of Metastock bashing going on behind the
scenes. As to the relative productivities of the lists, I recommend you use
the <Delete> key more often on both. It worked for me.
