Re: Just a Humble Observation

Alan,
I for one, am glad that you took the time to compose this insightful and
enlightening post. Where else can vendors of traders products advertise
their "services" in unlimited detail, for free. What a perfect "marketing
target", of the exact type and kind could not be found anywhere else!
Not to mention, though possibly of interest, that the majority of email
traders groups are called by and/or sponsored by the very software vendors
that attempt to shun such advertising activity (of other sources) on their
lists. This must be coincidence! "Omega" "Realtraders" "Metastock" all have
"strict policies" on advertizing on their lists, so it is covertly rampant,
at the end of every "contribution".
By giving a few bits of code and free advice, their entry is bought and
paid, then praised for being so generous.

I contend, that the "real" "traders" and their value and expertise for
extracting profits from markets through trading are revolted by the conduct
of most that speak their mind here. Why should they post anything of value
to such a group? Others, that only are here to "get" and not share usable
knowledge find their voice only when attacking someone else with misquoted
and inaccurate statements, especially when a real contributor is already the
target and on the defensive. Bravery is not one of the qualities seen much
of here. Some will go to unending lengths to be right with their mouth
instead of their STATISTICS. Their targets never privately emailed but to
the whole list they make their stage, requiring all to wade through with the
delete keys wearing out in disgust tempered with patience and composure.
Eventually, it wears too thin for most and they pass the "unsubscribe" to
the list-manager. Another, who had value, and did not wish to compete with
the few here who have so much to say and so little to say it with, WIN
again! OR do they? Perhaps that withheld understanding could have been
applied in the real trading world and made profits. Well ofcourse,
"everything is already known and understood" we get rid of those
"non-contributors" this way.
See U
Tom
