That's the funny thing about "free" speech, you either like it or you
don't. Unless we have throw out the Constitution this week with the
Bill of Rights, then his comments and yours are in line and open for
free discussion.

The great thing about the internet and our nation is the exchange of
ideas, right or wrong. I know you would agree! (or maybe not?) The
great thing about this list is it's independence, and we can openly
discuss the great (and not so great) things about Omega and TS. If you
only want the news items favorable to the software product, maybe Omega
needs to start it's own site. Then those who wish to "stay in the dark"
and only listen to news clips from the vendor would be happy. In a
perfect world, that would be bliss. But until Omega reachs the software
development level of a Oracle or Microsoft or (....), then we should
suggest and recommend and flame and whatever it takes to get them to
change the software for their customers benefit.

I choose Omega Research and TS because I was told in their many, many
newspaper ads, magazine ads, tv commericals, etc, that their software
was state of the art, the leading edge, and the greatest in the world.
After developing complex systems for over two years on their platform,
it leaves much to be desired. I am sure TS 5 will address many of these
problems. I just hope they are listening and implementing many of the
"request changes and fixes" from TS 3.5 days and the current list of
needed improvements.

The funny thing about this whole issue is that Mark Brown has been the
greatest salesman I met for TS. Because nothing out there (until
recently) would do what TS would do. Period. QED! But if you are
pushing the envelope of software development, software that was
developed two years ago is not good enough. Just ask Microsoft where is
Windows 97? Yet Mark (and myself) gets very upset when the software
system doesn't do what is advertised, much less, what is "stated" as new
improvements in TS5.

Good Luck and Good Trading
