Omega and DBC

One thing that Mark mentioned that probably hasn't been talked about enough
is the fact that a DBC officer is now on the board of Omega. Whether DBC
buys Omega, as Mark thinks, remains to be seen, but at the very least it
raises some disturbing questions. Is having someone from one of your data
vendors on your board a good idea? I'm not saying Omega will suddenly drop
all other data feeds, but won't this person feel a strong inclination to try
to "skew" Omega products toward Signal?

Omega has already announced that TS 5 will be able to receive RT data from
the internet via (what a surprise) Signal Online. I'm not holding my breath
that TS users will be given other internet options. TS 5 for all data feeds
will undoubtedly have some bugs. Whose bugs do you think are going to get
fixed first? According to Jim, the only TS 5 beta copies currently in the
hands of solution providers are the ones for Signal... Anybody see a bad
trend developing here?
