At one time I was a partner in a company that, among other things,
assembled PC's that were configured with lots of memory to be used in
creating artwork for color printing. If a system starting hanging
that had previously run without problems and there had been no
hardware/software changes the first bit of problem solving we did was
to re-seat the memory chips (just take them all out and put them all
in again). Even coughing near a chip can put impurities on the
connections that will not cause a problem right away. If you really
want to be safe clean the chip connections with a soft, clean eraser
and don't leave any eraser cumbs on the card. Getting a new
motherboard causes you to go through this process and might make it
look like the new motherboard was the solution. Sometimes it IS the
motherboard, but this "first step" solved lots and lots of -didn't
before but does now--hanging problems. While you are in there do this
to the HD controller card also.

If this doesn't work email me.
