Seems like more of a hassle to me. For one thing, if you
change PCs (upgrading or otherwise), I assume you have to
contact the vendor for a new password. No big deal =unless=
the whole procedure has to take place during normal business
hours. Then it seems you may be talking about losing data,
trading time, etc. How is this handled?
Also, it would appear that you can run the s/w on one
machine........period. Is this, in fact, the case? Does
Aspen have a policy whereby users can purchase a second copy
of the s/w at a reduced price? What if you want to run an
off-line version on a separate machine solely for analytical
purposes?
I know that Omega used to offer an off-line version complete
with dongle at a substantially reduced price for owners of
the RT version. Further, with the dongle setup you can
always use SafeSoft. I can't imagine how this would work
with the security feature implemented by Aspen.
Best regards,
Jim
