I think you're correct in pointing out that problems with software aren't
specific to a few companies. And I think it's about time that software
consumers held software companies to the same standards they apply to
manufacturers of other products they buy.
BTW - to all those people here who imply that I'm some kind of ingrate for
buying a $200 piece of software 3 years ago which isn't Y2K compliant - all
I can say is I came here to find out if there is any software at any price
that can do what I'm doing now that *is* Y2K compliant. And - from reading
the messages here - I've found out that the answer is no. I will be
inconvenienced by what happens in the next 2 years - but if I were a day
trader who bought a $2000 piece of software in 1997 that I now know won't
work in 2 years - I'd be pretty upset. Robyn
