hey roy..... i'm using meta9 with esignal so my setup might be
somewhat different..... using the 'change security or
previous/next' buttons keeps the layout as yours does..... but if i
use the 'file, then open' route, it will open in the default
template and not the layout also as yours does......
thats why once the layout is open i just type the ticker....
if 'atml' is in the layout, just typing 'bls' or 'xlnx' will load
them even though they are not in the 'a' group.... yours might work
differently.....
my layouts are saved in 2 places.... once in the chart folder in
metastock directory and again just in a folder on my desktop.....
just clicking on one of the layouts or templates in that desktop
folder will not only load the chart/template/layout, but also start
up metastock if it is not already running..... if your using
multiple but different size monitors you can save the
layouts/templates/chart to fit each monitor.... that way you don't
have to resize everything when going from the 17" to the 20".....
extensive use of layouts sure saves time.......
now if jose could code us up something to make meta run in flip book
style, we'd have it made.....h
