That's very unlikely because I reinstalled MetaStock a dozen of times
during my tests.

I tried your suggestion. But I makes little difference.
The chart displays perfectly.
I added many difference indicators to the chart. No problems.
I even added a volume oscillator/volumetrend/voltrend2. No problems
either. They read the volume but that doesn't seem to give problems.
But adding the volume indicator crashes MetaStock instantly.
That would indicate the volume indicator my be corrupted.
But that's unlikely because
I reinstalled MetaStock 8/9 from the
original CDs several times. And the same volume indicator works fine
on 'normal' drives.
Only volume. Only on SATA.
This crap has cost me so much time I better could have drawn the
charts by hand :-)
