I don't know of a way to 'fix' it directly (unless you buy a different
program from Metastock). But if you look at Quotes Plus 3, with the
SPP option, you can quickly create lists by sector, or most any way
you want. Then SPP will create an Export file (in Metastock format)
from the Quotes Plus data, into a directory of your choice. Then
Metastock can identify and read what is in that directory.
I believe that Richard Dale and Jose Silva have similar methods to
categorize Metastock data on thier websites, but I have not used them.
An around the moon way to get there, but I think this is the best you
will do with Metastock.
