I was disappointed when a colleague of mine forwarded a posting
from this forum a couple of days ago. The posting was from David
Jenyns, my co-author of the MetaStock Programming Study Guide.
David's actions go beyond what I personally consider to be
appropriate behaviour. I felt embarrassed for him and for myself
professionally and wish to express to you all our regret and
discomfort that the posting(s) occurred.
I can honestly say that I was unaware of his actions on this forum
until I was advised recently. Clearly I can't monitor his web
activities all the time and I think it is unfortunate that this has
happened.
The Study Guide is selling very well and one could question the need
to adopt such desperate measures to promote the product. We have
established numerous re-sellers in Australia and in the US and the
last thing we need to do is to hinder the progress we have made thus
far. I think in this particular situation, the result has been the
unfortunate mix of youthful exuberance and naivety.
I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with the comments that have
been made to date in response on the forum posting, and you can feel
assured I would have said similar. I just hope that this unfortunate
situation does not tarnish what has otherwise proven to be a useful
tool for MetaStock users.
