I was reading an old Gerald Appel text and struck by the emphasis on
chart formations, particularly what he refers to as the "grand-
daddy" of formations the Head and Shoulders.
I reviewed a number of charts (~200) and again was impressed with
the predictability of the H&S -- or was I just reading something
into the tea leaves that I wanted to?
I then placed a short position on Nov soybean futures based on some
fundamental analysis but also motivated by a very clear H&S pattern
(see S X03 20 May to 16 June). I quickly made $2500.
Has anyone had experience with the CPR plugin? I was thinking of
getting it and then scanning for H&S patterns with the goal of
placing short term long put positions.
Comments about this in general, or specifically with the CPR are
very welcome.
