Yes, this is done each time by deleting output from the favorites
lists before launching the explorer. Either that or recreate the
folder name from scratch which seems the less palatable alternative.
Better execution in some future incarnation is what keeps hope alive
for many. In this case I believe 8.0 attempted to blaze enhanced
system testing trails at the price of premature debut.
