This is a problem that MetaStock has had since version 6.0 or earlier and is not limited to imported data. There are many other "line" problems with MetaStock which includes inserting nonexistent weekends and holidays in line studies, but not the base chart. I've yelled at their (non) tech support on this problem for years but they are totally deaf in this area.
