Hello MS Charts,
I got 8.01 directly from Metastock while I was in the office. I had
to reinstall the entire program so I don't think it's going to be
posted on their website. I think they're going to mail all of the 8.0
users a disc, but I didn't ask them. It maybe be posted. If it is it
should be ready in a few days. Watch the website. I'm sure they'll be
an announcement.
Later today I will try to scan and load the list of fixes. It depends
on how busy I am with the market. I haven't seen a pdf on their
website with the list. Maybe in a few days.
I mentioned the "other" indicators that aren't in metastock like the
sentiment indicators, various short sales ratios, economic data, etc.
I buy them from Maridome. They come formatted for Metastock so they
work just like any other indicator. These are excellent for
determining trends. They're very accurate when combined with other
indicators.
You can read about how to use some them in Price Headley's book Big
Trends. Fosbeck wrote an old book call Stock Market Logic. Great
intial education on why indicators like these are important and how
good they are at predicting market movement. However, it's an old
book, it's hard to find, and it's material is slightly dated.
You can also get some of them FREE if you want to do a lot of work to
get them into metastock. One source I know of is:

Another source is the market lab section of Barron's. I spend about
$40 a month on the data I buy. However, it's not how much you spend
but how much you make. These indicators are absolutely necessary if
you're going to trade in any time frame longer than a day.
If you're trading, you need to know the direction of the market.
