[Metastockusers] Syntax differences

Hi all,

I have bought MS 8.0 EOD recently. I have found out syntax
differences for some standard functions between user’s
manual and online help built in the software. Here is the list of them.

<font size=2

in User&#8217;s Manual                      Syntax
in Help

<font size=2
face=Arial>Momentum<span

>            <span
>            <span
class=GramE>mo( PERIODS )             <span
>                        mo(
DATA ARRAY, PERIODS )

<font size=2
face=Arial>Negative Volume Index<font

class=SpellE>nvi( )<span
>
                                   <span
class=SpellE>nvi(DATA ARRAY)

<font size=3

class=SpellE>obv( )<span
>                           <span

class=SpellE>obv(DATA ARRAY)

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">Performance<span
>               <span
>            <span
>            <span
class=GramE>per( )                                                    per(DATA

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">Positive Volume Index<span
>           <span

class=SpellE>pvi( )<span
>
                       <span
class=SpellE>pvi(DATA ARRAY)

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">Price Volume Trend<span
>               <span
>            <span
class=SpellE>pvt( ) <span
>               <span
>            <span
>            <span
>            <span
class=SpellE>pvt(DATA ARRAY)

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">Relative Strength Index (RSI)<span
>          <span
class=SpellE>rsi(PERIODS
)                                     <span
class=SpellE>rsi( DATA ARRAY, PERIODS )

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">Trade Volume Index<span
>              <span
>            <span
class=SpellE>tvi(MINIMUM

class=SpellE>tvi( DATA ARRAY, MINIMUM TICK )

<font size=3
face="Times New Roman">TRIX                                      <span
>            <span
class=SpellE>trix(PERIODS
)                                    <span
class=SpellE>trix( DATA ARRAY, PERIODS )

The common problem in User&#8217;s Manual for these functions is
missing one argument: &#8220;DATA ARRAY&#8221;. I believe that this argument is
important for programming in MS. Don&#8217;t you think so?

And I think Equis was not doing good job at
least they didn&#8217;t check the users manual carefully. I doubt that there
must be some other mistakes in the user&#8217;s manual that is misleading the
users all around the world. They charge several hundred dollars for every
version upgrade but fail to provide good quality of product. This is not good
at all.
