For a start you could create a new exploration with -
{colA}
ROC(C,30,%)/ROC(P,30,%);
Before running it you must open the S&P 500 index and left click on the bar
chart to MARK it. The "P" indicator will supply the index ROC to the column
A equation when you run it. You could set up 6 columns all using different
periods for the ROC comparison, or you can test for any other relationship
you want.
Forgetting to mark the index is the only thing that can go wrong really -
you would get a 100% rejection of explored issues. I'd suggest that you call
a minimum of say 200 periods for the exploration so that if you ever include
an exponential MA in any column the returned values will be reasonably
accurate (5 * EMA periods).
