Time to get your feet wet and use Metastock to
answer the question. In System Tester there are a number of "canned"
systems, including one called Exponential Moving Average. Use that for
starters, change the moving average period to opt1, the lookback period to opt2,
and then run a test with a range of vaues for each
optimization.

Subject: Can it be this simple
Being a novice at technical analysis, I was
wondering if some could help me with the following proposal. If I was to take
my entire porfolio and trade either the QQQ or DIA using a simple 30 day
moving average, would I be a success or a failure. Seems to me that it is a
profitable system
