The last time I compared MSFL with MetaLib, early 2001, Metalib was waaaay
slower than MSFL in both daily and historical data updates. There were also
some problems when writing to a directory currently opened by Metastock
(Metalib does not secure concurrent accesses, MSFL does).
The update problem was causing my USA Metastock database to be updated in 1
hour 40 minutes instead of 15 minutes, it was therefore definitely
redhibitive.
