Service pack 1. It very very occaisionally happens that Microsoft find an
undocumented feature in their code after release. Others would know this as
a bug. Thus, they issue a service pack to cure the problem. Even more
unusually, that process introduces more features. Thus, NT4 is on sevice
pack 6a. After a period of several years since launch. Some service packs
tend to be cosmetic, whilst others are fundamental to performance. I,m not a
2000 expert, but from what I have read, I believe it to be fundamental. BTW
a number of manufacturers were only recommending 2000 pro after sp1.
