RE: e Signal and MS 7.03

I've had just the opposite experience. I recently went to W2K, clean
install of everything after reformatting the harddrive and converting to
NTFS.

Previously, I had Win98SE. I had those problems frequently with Win98SE.
Four reinstalls of MetaStock 7.03 didn't help.

Now, with W2K, I still have that problem, but it's been very
rare....<fingers crossed>. I collect only 7 symbols in real time, but I
have a layout with 6 charts, a decent sized Expert, as well as three
moderately calculation intensive Custom Indicators being plotted.

This was certain to choke my Win98 setup. For the last three weeks, it's
happened only once.

I just installed Win2k over the weekend. As usual I left a layout open
over night. This morning Metastock was hung. I had to force it to close.
Metastock would not reopen. The problem was resolved when I closed File
Server and Data Server. (I had to force Data Server to close.) So maybe
Andrew is correct about Data Server. I did not have this problem in Win98.
