Adam, 

I would take the trade based on your chart of Jul Corn whenever I saw that
pattern appear.  What you have written is what, in my opinion, good trading
is all about:  you instinctively recognized when something wasn't
performing as expected and cut your loss short.  In the end, it is not the
win/loss record that builds equity, it is the dollar value of the winners
vs. the dollar loss of the losers.

Do not be afraid to enter, just be quick to leave if it don't work as
expected.
