RE: Still long

JimG,

We're just a little nervous here. With our longer term stuff still bearish
and the Shorter and Intermediate term stuff being bullish, we thought that
we'd wait for some more agreement between systems. :) The problem is, both
of these two systems have been working quite well.

I'm about 25% invested in equities right now (including available margin)
and our normal 33% in futures (keeping in mind that we completely separate
these accounts).

We had a buy in PEB as well, but thought of doing it with options to limit
the risk to our investment. We then looked at it a second time and decided
to pass. We've done quite well in IMNX this past quarter.

We're now looking at changing our trading pattern and buying and selling
fewer stocks while increasing the number of shares to 800 or 1,000 per
trade. We can trade up to 4 or 5k shares for $14.95 as opposed to 200 for
$14.95. I'm sure there is a tradeoff between building our own mini-fund and
fewer stocks, but we'll watch this closely.

I think we're going to restructure our trading portfolio. We'll leave
whatever we have in futures alone, since that is doing so well. Of the
equity account, we're thinking of taking about 25-33% and trading our longer
term options system (sig & 700) and doing that separate from the rest which
we'll keep trying to refine. We are getting a little better; not much, but
a little. :)

With regard to your traveling, I have to go home next month to visit the
guru for a few day as my parents are getting up there in years and I need to
get back periodically. My brother makes it about every 3 or 4 months.
Since all of my health problems, I've only been back once in the last 4-5
years. Oh well, got to make reservations, but just getting there via
Northworst Airlines is a real treat. Sort of like Greyhound of the Sky. I
hate that airline. I'm going to check out flying via Dallas, since we have
friends who moved there that we haven't seen for a while.

I still have 250,000 miles in my United account, not counting Northworst,
Delta, TWA and others. I think that next year, we'll buy tickets for the 3
of us to Australia and upgrade them to First Class and wipe out the balance.

Off to bed. I've been reprogramming all of our indicators using variables
and the new syntax and I have to say that the speed has dramatically
improved. What used to take 2 to 3 minutes in earlier MS versions,
decreased to 30-40 seconds in v6.5.2, has dropped again to less than 2
seconds in v7.01 (I still need to add one more indicator, but even if you
double the time to 4 seconds, it's pretty good, if I do say so myself. For
what we do, Equis has done an excellent job. Remember, I'm still running a
PII-400 with 196MB (the slowest computer in the house). With all of the new
features, it looks like we'll be able to use System Tester for the first
time in 10 or 15 years. Following that, we're going to check out "experts"
and build one.

Guy,
Let me know when you jump in all the way <G>. I don't know what I'm
doing traveling this much, as you said, I'm too old for it. It just seemed
to start all at once, now I can't turn it off. Hopefully, I'll be home for
a while now.
I was stopped out of PEB and IMNX today, but I'm going to look for
replacements tonight.
