Thanks for these web sites.
Microsoft may indeed buy these other companies. Large companies remain
creative by acquiring new technology from small creative companies.

FWIW, I have Outlook installed, and used only for idle chit chats,
maybe once every 1-2 months. Only for outgoing messages that need
fancy graphics, fonts, etc.

For heavy duty use, I use commercial Agent from www.forteinc.com, the
hacker's newsgroup reader/e-mail program.

I have trialed, but not currently using for Usenet files "Newsbin
Pro", and for URL catalog linked to the browser, Compass v 2.73. These
can be located via the multiple search engine www.dogpile.com.

For financial WEB browsing I use Speed Research from
www.speedresearch.com.

I think this is what the US government was after when they said
Microsoft stifles creativity. One day MS may buy Agent and Speed
Research an incorporate those features.

Enjoy....
