RE: Printing Problem

List,

I have absolutely no problem printing with MS. Oops, I forgot, I don't use
it to print anything. It took me until v6.5.2 before I could use it for
anything other than looking at Bollinger Bands and the RSI. :)

Of course, I still have the problem of missing the letter "a" when the
Downloader or Metastock fires up and displays my name and my company name.
This was a problem a while back, and I still have it (and that's after
loading v6.5.2 from the CD-ROM). I guess I have lower expectations than
most with regards to MS. At the same time, I can't imagine using some of
the competitive products out there after visiting their news groups, so I
stick with MS. Of course, I can always revert to TAS or continue using
Clipper.

Rather than printing, I'd be happy being able to test out a day trading
system. One that allows getting in on the open and exiting at the close.
But I've been waiting for that for over 7 years, so what's another decade or
two? :)

Heidi,

Whereas I agree with the main of your message as to the value of ver
6.52--mine will crash whenever I attempt to change symbols by typing in a
symbol using the small "choose security" button at the lower right corner
of the chart--I must state that my charts print beautifully. I use an
Epson Stylus model 600 on both of my machines and have not had a printing
problem. I did not change printer drivers or video drivers (Maxtrox), just
installed ver 6.52 from the Equis CD. I did install over ver 5.11, and
wish I would have installed into a seperate directory. There are several
"bugs" with my copy, but printing is not one of them.

I do wonder why Equis does not build a solid piece of software that has
function as the main priority and leave out many of the "bells and
whistles" or "fluff". I really question the value of the "experts" and
their commentary. Equis, why not build a solid program and then offer
modules for those that want the "fluff". You know, like buying a new
car....price the base model and then buy the add on's.
