Perhaps, but their markets are somewhat different. Metastock does a better
job than Supercharts, but as you can see from this list, many users grow out of
its limitations and then feel forced to move on to Tradestation. Equis
doesn't realize this, but this gives them bad press, and causes many new
traders to begin with a software that has better upgrade path, namely Omega.
They are tantalized by Tradestation, but start out with Supercharts. If you
start out with Metastock, where do you go to stay with Equis? You don't.
You consider leaving instead.
It seems to me that they have come so close in so many ways not to take the
extra thought into their development path.
