Copying Securities

I have a directory which holds my Australian data files.   These files
have the ticker symbol loaded in some, as the security name, as well
as in the ticker space, others have the securities name.  In other
words the ticker sybol is in the security name space and the ticker
space.   I want to now enter the security name instead of having the
ticker symbol in the security name space, but it is a slow process
doing this manually.   I have tried creating a new directory with the
names and tickers from the Aus.sym file and trying to copy my original
securities across, but The Downloader always seems to want to use the
security name when copying, and as I have created my own abreviations
of the security names, they dont match up and wont copy.   How do I
copy securities across directories using only the ticker codes, and
ignoring the variations in the security name.
