Well, Mark, since you are mailing me privatly, I will reply to you privatly (as well as "cc" to the List).
This as, in my opinion, mailings that do have content strongly related to MetaStock, Trading,
TechnicalAnalysis or other in (to) these area's related subjects (like Data etc.) as well as software
used singly with, or in combination (like one's Operating System, other TA-programs, Editors etc.)
with our mutual shared subject (MetaStock, its subs and other Equis software) is what the
MetaStock-List is all about and also is that what makes the List.
The List too, is not moderated and a proper List does not need moderating, eg if the lines that are
set out by its owner (Equis), are also known to its members/subscribers (see below).
I do not run private MetaStock-mailing-lists (not interested and as such will not start one either).
Therefore, only forward those tips/info that are on/about programs and/or on (OS-/PC-/TA)
system usage, eg those that are very much directly related to the above mentioned subjects
and that are also appropiate (and in the List's spirit) to forward and that can affect us all
(in program usage and/or in system usage, in the widest sence, see above).
Yours and other members thoughts and opinions as well as the List's rules (set out by Equis,
see below) are very much taken into account here (and again, tips/info are in the List's spirit),
as well as that I wheight the tip's values (on forehand, prior to/before sending).
Only this last tip send, can help anyone working with MetaStock in and with any of the Windows'
OS's, into automating (for the better) their "slow" restart working environment (eg 3x clicks are
otherwise needed:
1. "Start", 2. "EndSession/ReStart Windows" and 3. "OK" and now making it much more
pleasurous to work in/with, <ehhhh actualy pleasurous to restart >, eg include it into ScriptIt or
AutoIt or VBScript for automating and speeding up daily <with clean memory> working sessions.
Thus, giving back some speed to you the user (or others), eg wanting to work with......... MetaStock!!
Do not plea to withold the List (others) from any of these very informative tips or info, as many can,
will (and quite often have "confirmed" to do so) benifit and gain from them, eg a lot (!) weather they
will be coming in from my humble end or from other Listers' or Listees' ends.

New Cyberspace User Group On the Internet
Have you been wanting to correspond with other investors using Equis software,
but haven't found a user group in your area?
Now you can join the MetaStock-list on the Internet.
The MetaStock-list is an International user group that never physically meets, but
whose members are able to exchange ideas, ask questions, and share information.
We call it our "Cyberspace" user group. It's actually an Internet E-mail system that
sends a posted message to all members.
As long as you have either direct Internet E-mail access or Internet compatible E-mail
access through online services such as CompuServe, AOL, or Prodigy, subscribing
to the MetaStock-list is free.
The purpose of the MetaStock-list is to prompt discussions and post questions about
Equis software usage, investing theories and philosophies, and other information to
other users worldwide. The list is not intended to be another technical support forum
for questions directed at Equis. Specific support questions should be addressed to
us at support@xxxxxxxxxx Equis' support representatives are members of the list, and
they will answer questions posted to it only if they are not answered by someone else.
Subscribers to the list should feel free to discuss opinions on anything that has to do
with trading. Of course, Equis is not able to give you trading advice. But as a member

Equis' reply to a writ/notification-mail send in by a list-member (not printed here) :
This is an non-moderated mailing list. To post messages to it you must
be a member of the mailing list. The mechanism by which one joins this
list is automated. If the people that sent this message went to the
trouble of joining the list, they went through several steps and then
posted this sales message which is in violation of the rules of this
list. However, there are many members of this list that are interested
in this specific product and I suspect the producers are also members of
the list for other reasons.
When the message was seen here, the email address was removed from the
restrict posting list. However, it is an non-moderated list and as
such, we can not possibly prevent all such postings in advance. If you
do not wish to receive an occasional message like this, again which is
beyond our control to prevent, then I suggest you withdraw from the
list. There simply is no way to prevent all such messages without
moderating the postings to this list. We have determined we will not do
that.

The only censorship on this list is 1) After the fact for breaking list
rules or 2) if the message is too large. The current size restriction
is 90,000 lines which is much larger than most written messages.

about our software or any other software without intervention from us.
The only restriction we have applied to this list is we will not allow
biased comments regarding other human beings or countries. We DO NOT

In response to the question regarding MetaStock Pro and Y2K:
"We believe we have handled all Y2K issues in this release of MetaStock
Professional. We are not calling it Y2K compliant because we have not
completed the last of our testing to be certain all issues have been
handled.
We will have a free update later in the year that we will name as being
Y2K compliant, including a free update for our MetaStock for Windows
95/NT end of day program."
