  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello Ton,</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I found your pointer to HardCopy thru the
  Metastock list.</FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp; Its a pretty neat
  program, but I have a&nbsp;few&nbsp;questions,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>and it sounded like you had used it for quite
  some time.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Q: In the Settings&gt;Keyboard menu, I couldn't
figure out how to make the "Scroll" setup work.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>A:</FONT>&nbsp;Click Settings|Keyboard and click the Scroll
button option, where Scroll is refering to the Scroll/Lock-key</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; found on&nbsp;your Keyboard. When the Scroll button is
hit for the first time, you will&nbsp;see the "no function"-Radio-</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; button to be&nbsp;activated only, as&nbsp;for being
the&nbsp;standard factory default setting for the "Select" feature.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Select click one of the options given (Screen,
  Window, Rectangle..........etc.) to activate the&nbsp;Select-feature</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;for the Scroll-BUTTON (only)&nbsp;on the
  Hardcopy's&nbsp;Keyboard-menu (page).</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Naturaly, when adjusting, this then implies&nbsp;it is
also to be set for your Keyboard's&nbsp;Scroll/Lock-key, eg</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; thereby&nbsp;disabling the standard Win9.x
OS's&nbsp;deafult actions belonging to this Key (for all
  the&nbsp;current+following</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;HardCopy-sessions&nbsp;and for this Key only). </DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV>Q:&nbsp;Wh</FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>at I want (refering to the above
question), is when viewing a detailed directory listing that
  scrolls</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;off the bottom of the
  </FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>window, I assume "Scroll" is somehow supposed
  to print the&nbsp;entire directory,</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;but I couldn't </FONT><FONT
  face=Arial size=2>get it to work.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>A: Scroll, here, is only the (in name) pointer to the
Scroll/Lock-key on your Keyboard. What it will do when</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; this Keyboard's key is hit, is entirely
left up to you (the user):</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a. you can adjust its actions (the
key) by clicking the (above) Settings|Keyboard|Scroll-button and
  in</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Select click any
of the options given (see above).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; b. make no adjustments, and leave the
key's action up to your OS (see below).</FONT>&nbsp;&nbsp;</DIV></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Q: I was also confused about the 2 middle

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; "Have your F1 key act as (say)

  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>A: Here the Function-key 1 (eg a HOT-key #1, thus not your

  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>Win9.x
  OS-settings&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>will then also NOT&nbsp;be available in
  Hardcopy (sessions).</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Q: Just for grins, I tried setting up
Ctrl+Alt+PrintScreen to send email, but that didn't </FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; work either, whether I
had an image in the clipboard or not.&nbsp; It works if I select File&gt;Mail
  directly</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; from Hardcopy, but I
couldn't get it to work automatically.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>A: First, make sure that on the Keyboard|Select-Page, the
"no function" Radio-button is not applied</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (see above for required&nbsp;actions as
  for&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>"how to").</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Secondly,&nbsp;I</FONT><FONT size=2> have
found this setting-option&nbsp;to be a bit of a "bug-ged" feature as well, eg
  when using</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;this program's own
  default&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>setting&nbsp;(for </FONT><FONT size=2>its
  related&nbsp;Print Screen action).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Therefore, and for this action, the

  a&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>much more</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>appropiate
button to use (for a HOT-Key).</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; But when right-clicking the HardCopy-icon
found in the SysTray (right-end of Taskbar) and clicking</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; the Show Window (the HardCopy program is
now not only activated but also now the Active program)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>A: See above. You have made me again much more consious of
the variaty of features available in this</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; GEM of a program.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And since all of the HardCopy-Program

(eg compare this to the accross the entire MetaStock</FONT></DIV>

  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Q: And finally, I was surprised to see in the

  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>A:&nbsp;The author has distributed this program as Freeware,
so freeware it is (it will also not cease to function</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;after x-days, or it to be
  distributed as a cripled program).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; However, the license for solid programs
(if they are reasonably priced) that you are going to continue</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;to use should be aquired (ahum) anyway,
to support program's continuation and receival of updates.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Microsofts Win95 (has) costs an (OEM/OSR)
user $22 on purchase of a new computer (from 1995</FONT></DIV>

additional handy&nbsp;</FONT><FONT size=2>programs and much freeware
  support.</FONT></DIV>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Since HardCopy is a one(1) man operation,
user cannot expect it to be kept for free or for improvements</FONT></DIV>
