Per one(1) security only, you can directly adjust the Price's Line Style, eg by making the
appropiate (right-click) change for and on your Price indicator's Properties|Style-TAB.
For multiple, uhhhh meaning for ALL securities, you can also achieve this change, but now
only indirectly, eg by making a new Default template and deleting the older template.
Do not replace the old Default.mwt-template by an over-write action, but create a brand
new one from the old one.
Here is how :
Start the Windows Explorer and go to the C:\Equis\MsWin\Charts folder, and in it rename
the old Default.mwt to Default.old and start MetaStock.
Open a new security as a Smart Chart or as a Chart, make the desired change(s), then
click New|Layout (and add all Chart to this Layout (if/when required) and now Save As this
new Layout, but now as a Template File Type, eg C:\Windows\Desktop\Default.mwt.
Switch to your desktop and cut+paste the new Default.mwt into the Charts-folder, eg
the Charts-folder will now hold your spare backup copy (Default.old) and the new Default.mwt
templates, where the " .old " template, by renaming the extension and let the system also accept
this extension-type change, cannot be called upon by MetaStock program.
Note 1:
This extension type change from mwt to old, should always be done prior to starting the
MetaStock-program !!!).
Note 2:
If you have the MSSmart-folder(s) hanging under your working-folder, then first rename this(these)
folder(s) temporarily to MSnotSmart and rename it(these) back to the(their) original folder's
name MSSmart, once you have finished creating your new Default.mwt.
Note 3:
Go back to renamed MSnotSmart-folders, to switch the folder's names back to MSSmart.
All new Open-ed securities will now have the same Line-type for the Price-indicator.
