Convert Excel 97 data to MS

Hi Ton et al

I have a nice simple (no code, functions, etc.) data worksheet, consisting
of the following columns: date-O-H-L-C that I want to transfer from Excel 97
to MS.

Nothing is working.

This is what the data looks like:
5/29/92 1,803 1,803 1,794 1,798

It is saved into an Excel 4.0 format as per instructions.

The Downloader Manual says on page 72:

" ... MetaStock cannot directly convert Excel 5.0 files.  Therefore, to
convert an Excel 5.0 or 7.0 file, you simply use Excel's Save As command in
the File menu to save the spreadsheet in an Excel 4.0 worksheet format.
..."

Does anyone have a working system?
