Lorena,

Load the downloader and open the file you want to split adjust.
Once it's open, click on "Adjust". It's the fifth item from the left at the 
top
of the screen. 
You'll get a drop down box prompting you for the dates. Accept the first date
and make sure the "last date" is the date BEFORE the split takes affect.
Then select 2 for 1....3 for 2....or whatever the split is. Click OK and 
you're done.
