As to Signal/MS, my gripe was
that Signal (EOD) did not alway list the correct opening price on a

from n-days ago. This meant you could get an opening price

Hi Mike
Welcome to the Cyber Dojo
I look forward to some more of your posts

As for changing kata, in order to preserve a classical system, and by that I
mean 'traditionally accepted, long or well established' system, it will
always be important for teachers of that system to diseminate the root kata,
those handed down from teacher to student, intact and without change. That
is the teacher's role. Each individual will, as time passes evolve according
the the so called shuhari principle and will begin to work their kata for
themselves. For the most part any change will be of emphasis. However, even
if change for the individual means to change a move beyond all recognition,
no matter, because whenever the form is passed on to another, it should be
taught in the way it came to the teacher. It will always be the
responsibility of the teacher to retain all the kata of the system in the
original form while at the same time working one's own personal forms.

Take care
Rog.
