Harley, thank you for your response.  Because Metastock's default is 5/3/3, which is short-term, the numbers I had in mind for intermediate and long-term would be larger.  In Pring's Momentum, Stochastic for daily short & intermed. seems to be 5/3/3, & 15/9/9.  He didn't give any specific figures for daily long-term.  I'll probably have to experiment or write an exploration.
