I'm new to this list, and not a very active trader (even on paper, yet), but
I'm trying to learn. THis is one reason I'm on this list. I have picked up a
few 'tenets' from those I respect, and do this sort of thing for a living,
which I do not, so I can only assume they are correct. THe fact that they are
oft repeated by the pros and rarely by the amateurs gives them credence in my
book.
I read the previous quoted paragraph by Rajesh, and one of them popped into my
head.
The Dow *SHOULDN'T* do _anything_. Nor SHOULD it do anything. It does what
it does; you're best served by reacting to _that_, not trying to predict it
too much.
On the Larry Williams tape, he says something to the effect of "...whatever
you think the market SHOUlD do, forget it. It knows what you think and will
do the opposite, just for spite..."
Don't know if that's true or not, but it's something that stuck with me.
