Liquidity Data Bank

Following the discussion of the effect of commercial interests on
commodity prices, may I ask if anyone has comments pro or con concerning
the usefulness of the Market Profile and Liquidity Data Bank information
that is supplied by the CBOT and CME, and retailed by Cisco-Futures who
also market their value-added products Overlay Demand Curve and Visual
Graphic? Cisco-Futures also market a home-study course, but at
$109/month for 12 months that requires an appreciable commitment. I'd
be interested to hear from anyone who has actually used the data.

The Liquidity Data Bank, amongst other things, breaks trading down into
categories Floor Traders, Commercials, Off-floor Traders, and members
trading on behalf of the Public. Part of Cisco-Futures approach is to
attempt to divine what the Commercials are doing and either follow them
or at least stay out of their way. This line of attack is quite
different from Technical Analysis but may well complement it.

The Liquidity Data Bank has the nearest thing to same-day volume data
for CBOT/CME futures, and intra-day updates are available.

Cisco-Futures web-site is voluminous and rambling. If you are new to
this data you can spend hours just trying to figure out what it is all
about.
