As a "code cutter" I even offered to code one of my desired improvements.  I guess the "programmers" didn't want the competition and "management" didn't feel it warranted the effort to provide the enhancements.

The suggestions/requests from the users should be sent to management NOT to
the programmers.  It should not be the programmers responsibility to decide
what goes into a program, this should be a management decision.  It is the
programmers responsibility to carry out management's decision of what should
be included.  Programmers like to do what is easy for them, not necessarily
what's easy and needed by the user

I t seems that few, if any, of your programmers use the program for trading,
hence some of the poor programming decisions.
