You missed the point. MS' system test puts _too much_  reality into a
system test because it includes the individual _sequence_  of the
trades into its rating system. But a system should be tested only with
respect to the trades, where every trade should be rated in the same
way. MS seemingly is unable to do that.

This makes much sense to me to synchronize the start of a b&h system
with a special system test to make both comparable, and it has nothing
to do with "investor decides to buy on that date".

Because I use MS on (special) options, your point fails (again)
completely for me. All what I asked for is a reliable system test
without any immanent & uncontrollable weighting, which could be
avoided easily by providing a capability for a constant investment for
every single trade.
