The only reason I like it. There is a learning curve to using all features.
Once solved, it is stable and you are hooked. When I hear data vendor
questions asked, I have compulsion to mention Quotes Plus, a new boy on the
block.
1. Not sure of cost, new users pay about $40 for software and about $18-19 a
month for stocks, $21-22 for mutual funds, too. I think there are prepaid
discounts. Wife handles credit card. Call them. QP and IRL have an
agreement, IRL will release a direct read to their program. We have irl
index data (I don't use). You won't see quotes plus in a downloader.
2. No, does not transfer because Equis can't read it.
3. Yes, you can scan on funnymentals or view visually, you can move info to
Excel or spreadsheet too.
4. You should come close on time. That is using virtual format. Normal
Metastock format might double time. But you won't see the unworkable times,
I hear on this list.
QP2 was developed using a beta team of good TA technicians, they wanted a
program that got data on ALL stocks and that's scan language would allow
them to filter down to candidates fast. The scans are the key; from them
you can process files to a MSWIN dir for further looks. I am not a
programmer but there are many hooks for VBasic, perl and C+ to expand your
results. More features are coming in fall, similar to TC2000 canned fast
scans. The program so far is build to the power user of TA. The charting
portion of program doesn't match MSWIN's capabilities at all but it is a
dern good one with nice features. Their Web site doesn't address all the
features of QP2, I guess they are trying to figure away to do it on their
new site.
Now that it for awhile. If you don't like your present vendor, try them.
