I don't think it's a stupid question at all.
I have the same problem as you, and still haven't figured out why The
Downloader isn't converting the way it should. The workaround I use is very
simple, but "labor-intensive". I convert the ASCII file to each directory
separately, so I hope you don't have a lot of directories or have a lot of
ASCII files to convert each day :-(
I think that you made the right settings, but The Downloader is not
functioning the way it should.
I also have version 6.0.
